About Us

Kama Nursery Centre has been operating since 1995 and it is currently managed by Hj. Nazarudin Ujang. It is small but yet a very specialized family business in propagating Malaysian orchid species for domestic as well as international market. Hj. Nazarudin, the owner, has been in the orchid industry for the past 30 years. A graduate of Science from University Putra Malaysia (formerly known as Universiti Pertanian Malaysia), he has worked with few prominent professors such as Joseph Arditti, KM Wong and Karim Abd. Ghani in several orchid conservation works. His expertise and passion in conserving the Malaysian orchid species has led him into the orchid business since then.

The nursery is located on the foothill of Kg. Sungai Landak, Ampangan, Negeri Sembilan. It is about 90 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia. Unlike other commercial nurseries, it is quite unique that most of the orchids are grown naturally on trees and rocks around the nursery. One would not realize that the small nursery housed more than 500 orchid species which are mainly from Malaysia. There is also a small lab located in the traditional Malay house in the nursery compound served as flasking operation room.

Kama Nursery Centre also provides a wide variety of indoor plants and houseplants for the office and home environment. It offers indoor plant maintenance services for all types of residential and commercial buildings. Among its clients include few local banks and factories around Kuala Lumpur and Seremban areas.
